Créche
Parents can leave their children with staff and volunteers to allow them to enter into some form or learning/training, offered by a variety of providers at a variety of locations (e.g. Hype Project at Helm Training). Over the past few months parents have been able to access ECDL, training, introduction to Peer Education, Youth Achievement awards, literacy programmes, and aerobic instruction to name but a few.
While the parents are away the children can play! If we are supported by créche workers the children can have outings to the local play park, library, or walks along the riverside. Children who need a sleep after a busy two hours are also catered for. Indoor play varies and could be a combination of the following: large play, small world play, stories, puppets, and so on. Juice and snacks are always available for those who are hungry and thirsty. Babies who need to be fed at special times are also catered for provided the mums leave us the food and instructions!
